Correct, meant to use a dot, not a comma.

I have used Win Patrol for years and find it very useful in disallowing files you don't want. However, as in this case it will keep bugging you until you develop a solution. Probably not a bad thing.

Thanks for the links, but I don't find an easy solution without risks. Assume I need Regedit.exe %, but not sure if it should be a file from notepad from out of nowhere. I am suspicious because Malwarebytes listed it as an infected object that I did delete, but it keeps coming back.

Do you know of any reliable on line scanners that I could try.
