What about the 1 in 100,000 ALS population incidence? An orphan drug is just that. MS is another orphan disease which 3 companies are targeting and I have not seen any major profits or blockbuster products. Mylan has two drugs for orphan diseases and the only one making some money is Eldepryl. The other is not!
