TRI-VISION INTERNATIONAL LTD./LTEE - $1,700,000 AD CAMPAIGN SIGNALS THE ARRIVAL OF TRI-VISION'S V-GIS (TM) V-CHIP PRODUCTS IN THE U.S.
TORONTO, ON-- Tri-Vision International Ltd./Ltee reports that its $1,700,000 advertising campaign is underway as part of the company's regional test launch for its V-gis(tm) V-chip Decoder product.
With products now selling in stores around Chicago, Nashville andIndianapolis, Tri-Vision's campaign of prime time television advertisements, print ads and public relations activities is set to raise consumer awareness for the product.
The V-gis(tm) v-chip products are now on the shelves in the three participating retail chains: Sam's Discount Warehouse, Toys 'R Us and H.H. Gregg. Sam's Club has committed 132 stores and has made V-gis(tm) a feature product. Toys 'R Us is launching in their entire base of 700 stores across the U.S.
QVC, one of the major TV shopping channels, will start selling the product on October 21st.
Tri-Vision's test launch aims to reconfirm company forecasts based on two national market research surveys undertaken by Market Facts last year that indicated sales potential of 2.8 million V-gis(tm) units within 12 months of a national launch. In addition, recent independent surveys support the existence of a significant market for the product.
"SILENCE THE VIOLENCE" SEMINARS UNDERWAY In conjunction with the regional launch, a public awareness campaign entitled "Silence The Violence", sponsored by Tri-Vision, is underway with awareness-raising seminars for parents. In a series of seminars, author Dr. Joanne Cantor, psychologist Dr. Brad Frank and other experts will address the rise in violence surrounding children on TV and at school, while offering parents practical suggestions to curtail this encroaching epidemic.
