At the risk of waking up a sleeping thread, I'll refer to an aritcle from the Oct. 1997 Individual Investor (II) that was included in MRM's 3Q report. II looked at several companies they had recommended in '96. Some them were real dogs, but MRM (which then sold at $15.25) had done reasonably well. The article noted that in the first six months of '97 that MRM's sales grew 30% while orders grew 47%. II estimated earnings should "rise above $1.50 a share in the next year or two, up from $0.33 (excluding a onetime charge) in 1996, suggesting that Merrimac's shares are well worth $15.25."
