But as far as I know, we can't do that with Datek On-Line
(yet).

It is quite possible to split the spread with Datek on all exchanges. I've done it hundreds of times. It's by no means guaranteed though. Whether your inside the spread order gets filled depends on many factors but the fact that many investors are still conditioned to buy at the ask and sell at the bid in all situations is pretty sad.
