Your observations are, of course, true.

But there is no doubt in my mind either that EMC is fine.

As often said (years ago) in school, either:

a> The result of doing the math is intuitively obvious to the most casual observer.

OR

b> The mathematics to prove the statement is left to the reader as an exercise.

It IS too early on a Sunday to do it or be bothered with it.
