Kerry was for Sanctions Against Cuba Before He Was Against Them By lesjones on John Kerry More mush from the wimp: Kerry has been under fire in recent days for his shifting stands on Cuba -- including his assertion in Florida recently that he backed a 1996 law to stiffen sanctions on the communist island even though he actually voted against it on final passage. And where can you find this flip-flop? In a Miami Herald article that the Kerry campaign saw fit to post on Kerry's own Web site. Via Jim Miller, who says "I can't imagine why his team put this article on the site." Me, neither. Kerry's whole campaign seems tone deaf.
