Wow.... Again we see a remote access vendor teaming up with a large systems integrator. This is going to be a hard team to beat. The Ascend MAX/Pipeline product lines are excellent. I would love to see AMTX team up with Alcatel/Ascend. Thus far:

1) Lucent/Paradyne/Globespan

2) Nortel/WSTL/Sourcecomm

3) Alcatel/Ascend/??

4) ??/Cisco/??Pairgain??

5) ??/??/AMTX - I think AMTX is going to have to team up with someone.

I have to say the Alcatel/Ascend is the most impressive partnership so far. Ascend is the leader in the remote access market and Alcatel has the only contract on ADSL in the US to date.
