Well- I have boys, both of whom have gorgeous eyes and use them most effectively, so maybe this behavior isn't as sexist as it sounds. Did they learn it from me? Dan has big brown eyes and he's also pretty charming. Manipulative behavior---ahhh--would teaching my boys manners-how to behave in social situations, how to talk politely to adults, how to say "Yes,sir", how to pull out a chair, open a door, all of which they do easily now and well, constitute manipulation of sorts? Isn't everything we teach manipulative to a certain extent? I have a friend who says I've raised "Pleasers". Yet I look at our children and well---I'm not sure her way is making her very outspoken children terribly successful or happy...
On the other hand, I would hate to think that my daughters relied on sexual behavior to make their way in the world. Look what happened to poor Blanche Dubois.
