thread..Xy..Barron's article is the real world not a store tour.. wouldn't you really rather see the real world ..or just go tour Best Buy and walmarts to guess the pc demand... Anyway. Windows NT will have a rocky road..but it drops the price of tools for corporations by 1/3..plus the I/S staff expertise to support Win NT as is lower priced... but don't skip on the Network Engrs.. and you better over design the network. the recent switch I got was the brand new cisco 5000.. it will support maybe 5 times the traffic I'll be deploying on it over the next yr. and then in two yrs I may have it half loaded.
