That is correct.

The problem I see for hydrogen is the cost of producing and storing it.

Electrolysis is currently the most inefficient method of producing hydrogen.

The problem I have with electric drive cars powered by fuel cells is their bad series efficiency. And unfortunately unless the laws of physics and chemistry change the battery powered electric car will remain the most efficient way to get down the road.
