Kevin - Re: One major flaw in Gwennap's analysis is that he made the (incorrect) assumption that all .25u, .18u, etc. processes are equal. Could K7 hit 780 MHz on Intel's .25u process? I'm guessing yes. All indications are that it could hit 780MHz on AMD's own .25mu process - but with the power consumption of [the K7 at] that process... not to mention the die size. Clearly they are better off switching to .18mu ASAP and not wait until they have satisfied some rather arbitrary points in Gwennap's analysis. --fyodor
