My benchmark is the S&P500, hedged to the Canadian dollar (i.e. XSP.to). Early March it was C$8, but each C$ was only worth US$.76 so the US$ value was $6.13 per share. On Friday its price was C$10.90 but each C$ is now worth US$.87c, so its US$ value is now US$9.47. That's a gain of 54% in 2 months !

Swampdog, please note ! LOL. If the US$ continues to fall not only gold will increase in US$ price. (In this example of price change, one can see how futile assessment of fundamentals is).
