it may well be true that the numbers may get worse for john kerry, but i think there may be a significant number of voters who are not concerned about kerry's integrity, truthfulness, or honesty about vietnam medals or about his possibly opportunistic reasons for the 1971 senate testimony.

jmho it appears to me with his 1971 testimony, protests, and 20 years of senate votes against use of american force that kerry had a peacenik/antiwar conversion, and that appeals to lots of voters who think the islamofascists will come to their senses. in addition i think a significant number of voters look to the democratic party with the sense that they will receive more, apparently free stuff from uncle sam.
