<<Engineer or Clark: I am hoping you can address these issues re NTT's WCDMA>>

Justin, Hopefully engineer or Clark can provide the details, but I can parrot what IJ said on the CC.

The DoCoMo trial is a limited(both in scope and capability) trial of a non-standard W-CDMA, meaning it is not the W-CDMA approved as one of the 3G variants. It will operate at only 64Kb/sec, which is no faster than the IS-95B system currently in operation in Japan. IJ said any meaningful W-CDMA deployment is still years away.

The press paints a much different picture than Clark and IJ do. I know where the credibility lies!!!!

Cooters - OK, I'm going to the airport now.
