While Bush was hiding out and using his family name to avoid responsibility and danger, Kerry was commanding a gunboat up the most dangerous river in Vietnam under conditions which the Navy wouldn't even put our men in anymore, for 120 straight days. Not only was he courageous, but he killed 20+ enemy, saved many lives and earned the undying respect and love of 14 out of the 15 men he served with. The only critic was a screw-up who shot a few innocent civilians, Kerry reprimanding him for it. The rightwing is terrified of Kerry's heroism so they are now slandering him in the most dishonest political campaign since McCain was slimed by Bushies in 2000.
