"but maybe we can control ourselves and not ask numerous stupid questions. I think that the people who follow this thread on a daily basis are generally intelligent and thoughtfull."

You are correct in that most of the people on this thread are very intelligent. The problem for Bob would be, once he started posting, all of the idiots would come out of the woodwork. I'm telling you, the first company to come out with a "firewall" or filter to screen out idiots and spam will make a fortune. Without such a filter, it would be inevitable for Bob to endure posts such as "What will Microsoft do in the next 5 minutes...if I had a lump sum to invest in an index fund and didn't want to dollar cost average, what would be the EXACT entrypoint...Should I short Cisco now?..."

Don't get me wrong--I'd like it if Bob posted here occasionally. While I have a personal problem with his sometimes bashing brokers (which I have admitted before that sometimes his bashing is well-deserved, given some of the amazingly crooked things my broker brethren are known to do), I do admire what the guy has accomplished, and it would be neat to have a forum where we could exchange thoughts and ideas. Like I said, we need to find an "idiot firewall" to screen out the nonsense, and then we'd be in business!
