Wireless Fund taking position in PCCLF? This story in CBS Marketwatch.com doesn't say so, to be sure, and they're probably not. But it looks like they're keeping an eye on a particular "ridiculously highly valued" HK mobile stock. Hmm, I don't know many stocks that fit that criteria. Anyway, I'm quite intrigued by the statement of the portfolio manager of the first wireless mutual fund:

Q: How about developing countries? We're hearing now that wireless communication is getting to be far more cost efficient and expedient than installing new land lines. Does this create a viable market for wireless?

A:
...What you will get of course are the local carriers, local operators. The stuff we're looking at closely, which appears to me ridiculously highly valued, is a stock in Hong Kong which gives you a route into the Chinese market --which obviously could be enormous.

The only stock that we own that you could say has a Third World link to it is Samsung, a Korean stock, which is not really a play on emerging markets as much as a play on some pretty clever hardware. They're the first mobile phone manufacturer who will be offering video streaming.

Well, a lot more info is up at their website, though no references to any other asian cell plays like DoCoMo or Hikari Tsushin.
