One of the things that I believe is that the same rules that apply on a micro scale also apply on a macro scale. The laws of economics for an individual are the same as they are for a family, a business, a city, a state, a country, a planet....

we are a mandlebrot set.

So I am basically saying that anyone that says that macro economics are too difficult for commonfolk to grasp is just protecting his/her job. And IF it is too complex for commonfolk to grasp, it is because they are forcing restrictions on the economy that shouldn't be there and thus getting unexpected consequences that they further have to force more restrictions on.

It pisses me off when people point to our current economic and use it as evidence of the failure of the free market. A free market in the US hasn't existed in 70 years. I do not understand why proponents of free market economics do not say "Whoa! slow the fuck down!!! this is a failure of government interventionist policies in economics".

in other words, I agree with you....
