Pull up a trading log for Friday, and see what you come up with. Hedge funds shorted at the open, then came the downgrades, then they covered after 2pm.

Regarding, CNBC. They are the biggest institutional puppet I have ever seen. They're only trying to help the institutions from not having to compete for the same shares this week as the retail investor. Don't be surprised to see E-trade, Selectnet, and selected ECN's have temporary outages this week, as institutions get their fills. Investors should be backing their barges up to the technology dock for the first day in red we see this week, which will probably be on Wednesday, because this will be the last week shorts have to cover in technology to lock in big profits. The longer they wait, the losses in potential gains go higher.
