Obama's problem with the upcoming re-election effort is that he has no meaningful accomplishment he can point it. His one "achievement" -- ACA, was enacted without his input, and without his leadership. And it is apt to be thrown out by the SupCt. There is literally nothing else that affects people's lives -- other than running up the debt -- he can point to as "his". Even ending the Iraq War was done in accordance with terms negotiated by Bush.

Just point to things like DADT and Dodd-Frank (which 99.9% of people have no idea what it does or doesn't do) isn't going to get it. Blaming everything on GWB isn't going to get it. Nobody really gives a crap about bin Laden -- it was yesterday's news even when it happened.

OTOH, Romney can point to one huge blunder after another. Doug Schoen, a liberal, tonight said we could be looking at a Reaganesque blowout, or at the very best [for Obama] something like Bush/Kerry in '04. That just really isn't much in the way of expectations.

He's in big assed trouble.
