"Certainly all the regulars would respect Bob's desire to keep any bear calls private until announced on the radio.

"So the question comes down to whether one would believe some unknown poster saying that Bob made such a call. If someone does not believe in Bob's model enough to subscribe personally, I doubt they would believe someone claiming Bob made such a call. At least not enough to be willing to act on it."

Alan,
While I think that a bear market call may well be "brodcast" early by some (in the media or on the internet), the factor you cite may keep the effects to a minimum. Even if Brinker's bear market call coincides with a fall in the market or is even a catalyst for a fall, the media likely would attribute it to factors other than Brinker, I believe. By the time it could be determined that Brinker's market call was a catalyst (if it is), subscribers would already have been notified and will have had an opportunity to act.
