I hope I'm right too! My call is based primarily on technicals (see my post which I linked to, which talks about the convergence of uptrendlines and the 50 DMA). You're right, the momentum of the market is down, as traders are looking for any excuse to take profits.

Be aware, that while 1260 may be close to the bottom, that doesn't mean that the market will bounce sharply tomorrow. It might consolidate here for a couple of days? I'm not sure.

Also, I wrote a paper about momentum investing (such as using market psychology, news momentum, etc.). It should be published on SI as a feature in about a week.

Good luck on those Dec. calls....I know what it feels like to be a couple of days ahead of expiration;(
