he left is not gone. Oh, the left is alive and well, despite plaintive pleas that they are being squashed by the gov't and the right. They complain right here on SI how their right of free speech has been stolen by the Right and the gov't. We all know the the war on terrorism is here to stay. For a while. Maybe quite a while. A political solution, not a military solution, is needed. The geopolitical groupings no longer make sense on the basis of the political borders that were originally drawn for the sake of distinguishing them. I presume you are referring to the arbitrary cutting up of the Middle East by the European powers. The left are extremely threatened by the thought of a conservative society. THe converse is also true: The right is extremely threatened by the thought of a leftist society. That's what they thought Clinton was bringing. The sixties were known for experimenting with 'new' alternatives. There are 'new' alternatives now. Yes? The mendacious spins being employed for the sake of political positioning are disgusting. The rage that they mask is awesome. You mean both sides are lying like rugs?
