That's silly. Do you think the person who wrote the Hannibal Lecter books is aching to go out and mutilate people in real life? Or is Stephen King contemplating, wishing he could get away with, doing all the things his characters do? From all I've read about him, he's a remarkably nice man. What is written in a book or discussion place comes from the imagination of the writer, but in no way reflects what the writer is like in his real life.
