Robert, if you "ain't one of the chosen few" then you "ain't on the leading edge at Cyrix". They haven't said a word about heat and such since they first started in with <.6u technology. Even when they had something that ran cool, they left the web site alone.

Now that all they have is .35u, they still have only a tad to say. In short, they are covering their distributors and seeing to it that "the channel clears" any old product. In short, Cyrix is being a good 'ol boy -- busy making friends.

I suspect that when the last "hot" chip sells to a retail user, Cyrix will suddenly fill their web site with noise about low power dissipation and such (their .35u chips burn way-low below PPros but .6u chips are toasters).

The exciting part is that in-house inventory is all .35u and the wait will be short. By me, I hold the stock and a pitifully low number of Feb 25s. Wish I had more.
