Often truth is filtered through experiences. Two people looking at exactly the same events come away with different opinions of what they just observed.

If you feel that I am engaging in "mean spirited tactics by the right, falsity posing as truth, and partisanship overriding the honest functioning of our process" then please tell me that. You are unlikely to offend me with that tack. The name calling and belittling that passes for discussion from both sides offends me. (Sometimes I engage in it, and have to always remind myself to treat others with more respect than they may appear to deserve.)

FYI - The biggest paper in the state is the Argus Leader, and it's editor is a great friend of Daschle's who covers for him in the opinion of many. Daschle is the viturative partisan Democrat in Washington, and plays the part of a moderate conservative in SD.
