I think that Kerry knew damn well that burning civilian villages was not correct. He says so himself. Nobody has to accuse him of war crimes when he admits to committing them. Now let me just be straight for a second - this is something few Kerry supporters on SI do. I'm not sure how to classify a war crime. I find it a little disingenuous to have rules for killing in a war zone. My feeling is that right about the time you have your men stick daisies in their rifles is right about the time they start coming home in a body bags. If something is worth fighting about then you don't f**k around. You fight to win and you surpass your enemy in the level of intensity and brutality that it takes to get the job done - period. So in that respect I don't believe Kerry was a war criminal. But when I watch the tree huggin' left sit back and jump on Bush for various insignificant issues it makes me want to have Kerry judged on the same level. He thinks he has all the answers and I don't think he even knows all the questions. I wont waste a day discussing it but if Kerry wants to play the war hero saint game he better be ready to pony up some answers.
