Chief, thanks for the numbers! This is what I managed to pull out of my bag of tricks!

Let's start out with the Andicollo porphyry as it seems to have some similarities to Lipangue.

Andicollo copper porphyry is rated at 300 million metric tons at .7 % copper-just above your "concern" level.

Th mineralization underlies an area of 1,500 X 1300 m and is almost circular in plan. The minerlization is zoned verticaly from a leached capping downward to a supergene enrichment blanket, and finally a hypogene zone. The capping averages 30 m in thickness and contains various amounts of goethite, jarosite, and hematite. The average copper grade of the capping is only 0.07 percent. Oxide copper minerals are present only locally.
The enrichment blanket averages 40 m in thickness and occupies an area of 1.5 square Km. Mineralization consists of chaalcocite rimming subordinate amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite. Grades range between .6 and 1.5 % Cu. Srongly fractured zones contain the highest grades. The mineralization extends for 100 to 200 m beneath the enrichment blanket at a grade of between 0.3 to .8 percent Cu. Gold credits come from an average gold content of .25 g/ton

Hmmm. The area size of Andicollo seems very similar to Lipangue. It appears the minerlization depth at Lipangue maybe far greater than Andicollo. Also, Lipangue's cap appears to be minerlized as opposed to the cap at Andicollo.

Now, lets talk about what a big copper deposit is!

The Grasber deposit in New Guinea was rated as the 3rd largest in the world as of 1997.
It consists of 1.7 billion tons of copper ore grading 1.1 % copper. About 200,000 tons per day goes through the mill. Gold averages 1.2 g/ton.

Now if MDIN starts claiming they have over a billion tons of copper ore at 2% copper-take notice!
