The short seller here, Magellan Capital, actually sued Olympus, Olympus management, and a few stock promoters two days ago for manipulating the price of the stock upward. They apparently could not get anyone at the SEC to move along, I guess. The Olympus suit was merely a countersuit that the company filed to preserve its rights. And before you ask, no, I don't approve of Magellan's strategy any more than I approve of Presstek's strategy.
