OT RE: "Why must we accept sadaams continued rule?" Saddam is no different from other Middle East leaders. He is just more powerful. We must concentrate on our objective, and eliminate his non-conventional weapons capability. I am not against regime change, a priori, but I don't think that there is much likelihood that a new regime would change the fortunes of the Iraqi people and I am concerned that innocent victims will just make things worse. If we can eliminate the weapons threat, then sanctions can be lifted and the lot of the average Iraqi improved.
