Saddam is no different from other Middle East leaders. He is just more powerful. We must concentrate on our objective, and eliminate his non-conventional weapons capability. I am not against regime change, a priori, but I don't think that there is much likelihood that a new regime would change the fortunes of the Iraqi people and I am concerned that innocent victims will just make things worse. If we can eliminate the weapons threat, then sanctions can be lifted and the lot of the average Iraqi improved.
