Thanks Chief. Your statement seems consistent with the House report that the breccia pieces themselves have been altered and coated with quartz due to high temperature and pressure of the hydrothermal fluids that supposedly exploded up onto the palesurface. One thing I have not read anywhere is the age of this deposit. The rocks that were intruded with the pipe where of the early to middle Creatascious(sp?) period. The age of the pipe itself was not defined in the House report except as being discribed as occurring later-ie more recent.(of course!) Would be nice to know this to compare to the other porphyrys in Chile. Good night!
