JG,

One thing that Mossberg doesn't address is audio. I'm not an audiophile by any means but I like to listen to music on my computer as well as radio or audio on the net. Others are probably much better informed than I.....I found that a decent sound card (I've got a Sound Blaster AWE64 not the best, but not bad) and a good set of speakers with a subwoofer, really kicks up the sound quality. I've got a relatively inexpensive 3 piece setup from Midiland (buy.com). Much improved over the set that came with my now ancient PII, a year and a half ago.

I'm sure that if you buy a computer from Dell and probably Gateway & Micron, you'll get a good sound card and speakers as normal components.
