In a way, I am very sympathetic to that message, and I anguish constantly that the subject matter of my posts will not adhere strictly to the spirit of the discusssion. I am particularly self-conscious about this because I think this is a great forum and have a lot of respect for its creator. For that reason, I have I think followed Tom's instruction not to post on specific stocks. But the question of what is and is not relevant to a discussion of the price of gold gets a little more dicey, and, so, while I really want to adhere to the spirit of the forum, I'm not sure that I have violated it. And, LJ, even if I have, I don't think I have been an insistent violator. I didn't start the themes you are objecting to, and I have intentionally limited my commentary on these "tangential" themes recognizing that everyone would not wish them to predominate on the thread. Given that, I am curious as to why you singled me out for your plea.
Incidentally, I find your "live long and prosper" message off topic <<grin>> -- and perhaps at times insincere. Come on, occasionally, don't you really want to say e__ s___ a__ d__?
