Gillette appears to be doing better overall. They
complained for a long time about exchange issues hurting
their european and overseas numbers (high US exchange)
which should now be more favourable.

I've heard of a number of programs internally designed
to improve efficiency including rationalisation of sales
effort.

You might notice too that Gillette is taking the bleeding
edge with Radio Frequency Identification in a large real
market test with WalMart. This technology promises material
savings overall if its proven to work well.

My understanding is that Warren Buffett has no intention
of selling any Gillette shares. He gave up the seat as
I hear with confidence in the new CEO to devote attention
elsewhere.

After years of overall decline in shareprice, I expect
a gradual increase over the next few years. My opinion
only.
