Jill,

I thought this thread was about gorillas in the eworld, thus ecommerce.

As time goes on, it's going to be more and more difficult to separate companies that are doing business in the eworld from those that are not. Siebel and Oracle are perfect examples of companies not known for e-commerce initiatives a year ago that are well known for them today. I haven't read the lead post for the thread in a long time (my fault) but my guess is that the modus operandi in the folder will have to evolve gradually.

IBM has been front and center in the e-commerce space for a long time but my impression is that IBM probably wouldn't be intended as the focus of a discussion here. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm using it only as an example illustrating that there's a lot more grey area than black and white areas. :)
