(Nasdaq: INET), one of the nation's largest trucking companies, announced today that it will soon be starting Phase Two of its installation of Qualcomm satellite communications in its fleet. Phase One, the installation of Qualcomm equipment in all of its 1,300 company-owned tractors, will be completed by March 31. Phase Two entails making the system available to its 1,100 owner/operators.
According to Intrenet Chief Operating Officer, John P. Chandler, "Many of the Intrenet owner/operators have expressed a strong interest in using this equipment and, if properly used, it can increase their loaded miles while providing them with advanced communications capabilities."
