I saw this PR stunt on the Loral politics thread, and carefully refrained from reposting it here <g>
The actual suit (which can be viewed at the Jucidial Watch website) was filed some time ago, apparently, supposedly on behalf of the heirs of a Loral shareholder (of 448 shares(!)) against BLS, the DNC, the Prez, Hillary and numerous others. It essentially claims BLS (mis)used the bonus he got at the time of the Loral/LMart deal to bribe WJC, et al into betraying the national security. It provides a nice vehicle for JW to gather in one quasi legal document all sorts of unsubstantiated and tenuously connected charges relying largely on press accounts which in turn relied on unnamed sources. I suppose it will be interesting, in a queasy sort of way, to watch how the legal system deals with this POS.
After reading through all the alleged high crimes, the actual remedy sought is sort of a letdown: restitution of BLS's 36M$ bonus and "actual and compensatory damages, treble damages, an award of attorneys fees and costs to Plaintiffs and Loral"
Well, who could argue with that! |
