That's true, but it hardly has anything to do with battle deaths on a general basis.....There was complete censorship of a squadron of naval flyers being shot down while attacking a Japanese fleet.(sorry, I don't remember the name) And there was always plenty of coverage of the war zones. To my memory, the first time heavy censorship became routine was in Grenada... Then Iraq I was heavily censored.....the MSM kept showing that same damn bomb going into the same building....

Have you ever heard the expression, "the first casualty of war is the truth...!!)?
