Yes- that Is the problem. But I always try to vote for the candidate with the most integrity- my candidates almost always lose. And frequently I end up voting against someone rather than voting FOR someone I really like. I did get elected in college to AS board of directors and numerous other organizations- but my honesty and integrity thing appealed to the biologists I was representing. If I hadn't been in the life sciences I probably wouldn't have been electable- and the other AS people sucked. They were embryonic politicians.
