This always surprised me. So Oracle missed a quarter. I work for a competitor and as soon as I heard about the drop I went out & bought stock - Oracle are dominant in this market and, contrary to what everyone is saying, the market for database is not saturated. It may be stabilizing, but no one builds applications today without at database at its heart. They are also moving aggressively in the applications space which is where much of the growth in the technology market will be. In the greater scheme of things NC is an irrelevance, IMHO, but Oracle are well positioned to profit from various initiatives.
