To all shipmates: Merrill ruined what could have been a real floatilla of a day. They sat and sold all day at 21 7/8 until they sold out (probably the 50 k they bought the prior day). Cowen buying and INCA which is the Instinet (unknown third party) as well as Herzog and Nite. Tomorrow and the next few days will be interesting, now that the window dressing is done and everyone who didn't want anymore WSTL on the books can go back out and speculate....hold on. Spoke to several individuals who called me paranoic about WSTL not getting GTE and BCE...they were trying to figure out if #3 is MSFT....ADSL might be a future feature of theirs....that's a conversation I was involved in. To these chaps, experienced sailors who don't watch WSTL every minute like the rest of this thread....WSTL has already won their share and the market is grossly underestimating their future dabloons. They have their positions and are sitting tight. They made me feel very comfortable and the rest of the boat should "stand down" there is no need for alert status. She's doing swimmingly.

Re: GTE/WSTL go back to the DoD contract PR release and you'll again realize how much confidence GTE has already exuded in WSTL's end-to-end system management approach. We are not just selling modems here folks.

Re: AMTX I shorted it this week and I am proud of my position. I think we'll 15 again....soon. I could be wrong but then again I don't play all the numbers on a roulette wheel either; only the one I think is going to hit.

Where's Capt Will C? He needs to relieve Bill C of his post for a while...give the man some rest.
