Well to a certain extend you are correct... and this is one of the reasons I dont like warrants, especially PUBLIC warrants because they are a favored tool of those that like to short stocks, for the very reason you mentioned.

Now on the flip side, this Joe S dude was a long time shareholder and hopefully realizing the benefits of owning CVIA, so would not really have a cause to hurt the price... correct? So Joe just may be willing to sell only what he needs to get his cash back and hold the rest... end result he would sell only 1000 shares as opposed to 10000 in the example you presented. Hopefully by that time we will have enough of a demand the market will be able to absorb these shares with out a big disruption in the price.
