The spread between the bid and ask is not normal. The only thing I can think of is that the MM's may be out of inventory and they are short the stock. By keeping the bid down they hope to cover their short position with a profit. If tomorrow's volume is positive then they will have to move up the bid. I can't help but believe that next week will be one we remember for along time. We should see a number of press releases because there were several ready to come out before the quiet period. As you say P&P.
