I agree with much of your post. I do have to differ with respect to the SI adms and with the SI website itself.

There has been a change of ownership since the days when the gurus had the run of the place and where rules may have been bent to encourage their followers and where bullying tactics may have been overlooked. Although I sometimes rile feathers here, I have been treated fairly and I have found the SI adms to be fair and honorable in their administration of this site. There is no other site that comes close in my opinion. In my opinion, this is the only web site that comes close to having intelligent financial discussion. (The only substantive thing I'd change here is to get rid of the political hate threads.)

I do think there is hypocrisy in banning you and others on the A@P thread and then coming over here to essentially settle scores. Technically, they are within their rights as the moderator of this thread does not seem to do any real moderating.

I do think that some of the attacks are perhaps violative of SI TOU but there is enough both ways such that the SI adms aren't going to kick everyone off for calling a few names or casting a few aspersions.

For me, I hope to read more about the trial, the background and how it relates to things that were posted in the past. I primarily want to read this as it is educational and gives a view as to how arguably manipulative tactics can be used in the guise of doing good and getting the bad guys.

There are lots of scams in the investment world and I do respect those who fight scamsters as I know the time and effort that is required to do so and I wish to encourage those who would go after scams. However, if it is found that those people line their pockets first and engage in activities that are suspect, then we have replaced one set of bad guys with another.
