Question on Company Options Since, I am mostly learning here. I have a question for the knowledgeable investors. When a company grants a stock option to an employee, does that mean those number of shares are new to the total shares. Or does the company have stocks in "storage" that they use. I mean a company doesn't buy its stocks at the current price and sell them to the opiton holder. Sorry, for the bad wording. If anyone understands what i asked, opps where are those question marks, could you reply.
