I agree that 56.6 modems will help ADSL because the need for Bandwidth will be application driven. High bandwidth-hungry applications will become more popular and further developed with 56.6. But soon people will realize that these primative videophone systems, etc. need the real thing to work right. In a few years, we'll be talking to one another on the SI computer screen about when Amati used to be only 17 7/8 :>) .
