SEG announcement - negative implications for SUNW?

Eric,
I think you post an interesting idea. However, has SEG experienced a revenue shortfall "only" because of severe price pressures or a shortfall in unit volume also? Just asking, because I cannot remember right now the exact wording of the SEG PR-text. If unit volume was about OK, shouldn't be a biggie for SUNW then, IMO.

Greetings,
Thomas

P.S. Just went checking the SEG statement again: They say: "...due to continued pricing pressure and weakness in demand for its disc drives, it will not meet...", which means unit volume must be down too. However, how much volume less does it need to bring SEG in the red? And how much of these unsold units would have been sold to SUNW? Hopefully only little... Guess I just want to avoid to admit that SUNW may have a problem too <g>.
