Sundar,

You are very correct. The Max-Pain&#153 effect is a second order effect, ie it can get swamped out by first order effects like breaking news, earnings reports, Greenspan, other momentum generating events. But by posting it and building up a history, hopefully a pattern of what months it is or isn't effective will evolve.

Don't forget, the entire market might get really paniced and any/all positive results may wash out to sea......
