RE: Advanced warnings --- Yes, indeed. You can always look at Tokyo which is a day ahead, or London which is half a day. If they go down in a flash it's probably stellar radiation and we can sell out early. I always take advantage of this global asymmetry by faxing my sell orders for stocks that have gone down and buy orders for stocks that have gone up to my Tokyo broker Eastward via Dubai so they get there some time yesterday (avoiding crossing the international dateline), and faxing my buy orders for stocks that experience a big rise in Tokyo Westward via Guam so they get there tomorrow by crossing the international dateline. I'm trying work it out on the net but its hard to get the routing right. Just another small advantage of living in paradise.
